Trigon RECALL II is a CD player whose outstanding sound characteristics correspond to a concept and equipment that meets high-end requirements. This is demonstrated by the very high-quality drive with a loader guided on stainless steel rods at the side, which ensures that no (digital) musical information is lost right at the start of the playback process. The latter is then entrusted to a 24-bit serial converter with 192-KHz sampling frequency from Burr Brown, which represents the state of the art, for conversion into analog signals.

The entire digital audio technology is clocked by the drive oscillator in order to keep the clock jitter as low as possible. The steep-edged output filters effectively prevent aliasing influences on the playback signal. The power supply is ensured by a specially developed switching power supply, which supplies the CD player with stable power even in the event of major fluctuations in the mains voltage and largely excludes mains influences that distort the sound.

The 2 mm thick sheet steel housing has been fitted with damping mats internally to keep microphonic influences away from the sensitive electronics. The Trigon suspension absorber feet, whose operating principle corresponds to that of a disc spring, complement this systematic approach to avoid sound distortions caused by microphonic noise.

The high-quality technology of the RECALL II and the drive optimized for audio applications are not closed to the wide range of current data storage devices. The RECALL II is therefore also able to play CD-Rs and CD-RWs.

The Recall II is completely controlled by a microprocessor. It can be operated either on the device itself (not all functions) or via an IR remote control (Trigon Director). A clear display on the front of the CD player, which can be dimmed and switched off using the Director, provides information about the current operating status.
